This is a fairly old picture (and not all that good anymore) I ran across the other day. It's kind of odd-looking now (look at Fiona's hair! It's like, *red*-red, not just, like, red...) but it made me laugh when I came across it, because that is just exactly Fiona's attitude toward school now, although it didn't when I first drew it. Fiona used to be a much more vague character - most of them were, really. I've been pretty much continually revising characters' personalities for the last few years, and Fiona's has probably been the one that has changed the most - probably because I'm actually *in* college now, as opposed to being a high school junior, and partially because I realized that anyone who randomly developes magical powers, finds the love of her life, and lives happily ever after could *very* easily be a "Mary-Sue" type character. I still worry about that a little, actually. I've also been playing with Angwyn's personality, since "trauma-death-pain-torture-angst-torture-angst-torture-angst-rescue-happily ever after" doesn't seem too likely, now that I think about it. And once I figure out how to fix that problem, it'll affect Fiona's character, and so on... Gah. No wonder I never get around to writing any real story.
Anyway, this picture was originally drawn for an ed/op article in my high school paper. I had a habit of sneaking in my characters whenever I could. :)
