Emiko's Rikard



I didn't have the time this round to read all of Emiko's "Daerinnid Chronicles" story (I did read some, liked it, plan to read more later when I'm not so busy!) so I don't know anything about Rikard beyond what's in his character bio. Hence the uninteresting pose and lack of background. But he had more reference pictures than most of the other characters, and I liked his outfit. Trying to do all the designs along the edges of Rikard's outfit was an interesting challenge...I'm not sure I got the pattern exactly right--I couldn't quite figure it out. Threw in the design behind him to make up for my rather pathetic lack of backgrounds lately. -_-;; I did it in green to match his eyes, and of course, realized immediately *after* I finished that with his red coat, it looks all Christmasy.
Went back to colored pencils this round because I didn't have all the colors required in markers, and also colored pencil is a bit quicker, and I was really pressed for time this round. (I think I got this in maybe... five minutes before midnight? (You can quit reading here, just me ranting about personal life) *sigh* A girl at work quit, and someone else is on vacation, and there's only four of us to begin with, plus one other person who can fill in but usually works other positions, so I got a lot more hours, plus other stuff to do...family get-together last weekend... um, also found some good books to read -_-;;)
